One app for every script you write in.
System-wide typing in 13 Indian scripts with 20+ keyboard layouts, phonetic typing, and Legacy to Unicode conversion both ways. Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit.
Four screens.
That’s the whole app.
TextSoft is deliberately small: 13 scripts, 20+ keyboard layouts and a precise converter, behind four screens you will have learned in a minute.
One key turns it on, and every keystroke lands in whatever window has focus.
- Anywhere text goes
- A global keyboard hook, not a plugin you install per app. Word, Excel, CorelDRAW, your billing software, a browser.
- Your font, applied for you
- Pick a legacy font once. In Word, Outlook, WordPad, LibreOffice and WPS it is applied as you type, so you never set it in the font box first.
- Or any font on your PC
- Tick “Show all installed fonts” and type directly in a font you already own.
- On-screen keyboard
- The live layout for the active language, including the Shift layer, so no key is ever a guess.
Every script, every layout it knows
Type in Roman.
Watch it become script.
Write the sound in English letters and the script appears as you type. In the app this happens system-wide, in any window, while the separate Converter changes text between legacy fonts and Unicode, both ways.
The same file,
without the font.
A legacy-font document does not really contain Hindi. It contains Latin letters that only look like Hindi while one specific font is installed. Send it anywhere else and it falls apart.
Drag the handle to see what your archive actually holds, and what TextSoft turns it into.
How the converter works →The word India stored in Krutidev 010 reads as “Hkkjr” without that font installed. TextSoft converts it to Unicode, where it reads भारत everywhere.
Three panels,
then a Convert button.
Every decision the engine makes is yours to set first: which font in, which font out, which digits, and whether your own corrections apply.
Input selection
What you are converting from.
Output selection
What you want out, and the swap button flips the whole thing around.
Advanced settings
The two that decide whether the result needs a second pass.
What the engine handles
Both directions
Legacy to Unicode, Unicode to legacy, and between two legacy families, such as one Gujarati font to another.
Whole files
.txt, .rtf, .docx converted in one run, with the formatting kept.
Greedy longest-match
Conjuncts and matras convert as clusters, not character by character, so nothing reorders itself.
Nothing dropped
An unmapped character is reported, never silently swallowed.
A dictionary you own
Add a fix once; every future conversion follows it. It grows with your archive.
Your choice of digits
Numerals in the language's own digits, English, or Hindi.
13 scripts.
20+ layouts.
Every language ships with the keyboard layouts typists already know: InScript, Remington, and the vendor layouts your office has used for twenty years. If you have typed on one of them, it is in here.
A separate Diacritical layout for transliteration work also ships with the product.
